We're a small engineering team in Linz, Austria. We've been building business software for two decades, webQsee is the tool we always wished we had when our customers said "it broke in the browser, here's a screenshot".
Twenty years of shipping business software.
pagu.at EDV Management GmbH was founded around 2001 in Linz, Austria. Two decades on, we're a 10-engineer team led by Mag. Paul Gutenbrunner, focused on the two things that pay the bills: business consulting and custom IT services for companies that need software built right the first time.
webQsee started as an internal tool, the result of a thousand customer calls that boiled down to "I can't show you what just happened in my browser". We open-shipped what we built and the response told us we weren't the only ones missing it.
Why we built webQsee.
Debugging customer-facing web apps means working with what the customer can describe, and "it broke yesterday at 3pm" is rarely enough. Chrome DevTools shows you the moment, brilliantly, but only while you're there. The recording? Gone the second the tab closes.
We needed to persist the moment. To send a colleague the exact 30 seconds of HTTP traffic, console errors, WebSocket frames and DOM snapshots that the customer saw, and let them open it in their own browser without installing anything. That's webQsee.
Every design decision falls out of that goal: capture without leaving the tab, keep the data local until you decide otherwise, and make the artefact shareable as a single self-contained file or a cloud link.
Five rules we don't break.
These aren't marketing lines, they're shipping constraints that shape the codebase and the company.
Local-first
Every capture lives in your browser's IndexedDB by default. You decide if and when something leaves your machine. No silent uploads, ever.
Privacy by design
We don't read your captures. We can't, the bytes never reach us. Our servers only store metadata you'd put in a ticket title anyway.
Bring your own storage
Cloud Gallery uploads land in your S3 bucket (or min.io). You own the bytes, you control retention, you can rotate keys whenever you like.
Manifest V3 from day one
webQsee was rewritten for MV3 before the deadline, service workers, restricted permissions, fresh CSP. No legacy MV2 fallback to worry about.
EU-hosted infrastructure
All webQsee servers run inside the European Union, operated by an Austrian company under Austrian law. GDPR isn't an afterthought, it's the default.
Built to be inspected
An extension that reads everything a tab does only earns trust by being readable itself. Captures are inspectable, exportable and self-describing.
